Bringing Holiday Cheer to over 5,000 Children

Thanks to your wonderful support, Path of the Heart brought holiday cheer to over 5,000 children this past 2021 holiday season. Washi assembled an arsenal of 15 volunteers who helped assemble, cook and deliver sweet breads, hot chocolate, small toys and popcorn to the beautiful children and their families in 50 sectors and communities of the Sacred Valley in Cusco. The smiles on their faces say it all!

In December 2010, Washi wrote about the annual chocolatada event: "The hot chocolate activity in the native communities in the Sacred Valley and the Andes, was a pilgrimage of music and love. Thanks to www.pathoftheheart.org, it was wonderful to feel the connection with the little hearts and smiling faces all over the Inca and Colonial villages. We don't know when we will be able to see them again, but we all can feel them and wish them the best of life in this coming year. They are just beautiful children and families. Please let's keep wishing that they and we all are happy together, even if we have some economical difficulties. If we are all happy, we can help each other and our beautiful world with Happiness and make everybody smile."
