Path of the Heart is immensely grateful to have received a grant from the Shapiro Family Foundation to be used for providing Jackets, Pants, Boots, Socks, Gloves, and Hats to 300 children (Boys and Girls) in the communities of Ccorao, Challhua Cocha, Chupani, Wayroncoyoc Pampa and Tiupunku, which is located in the District of Urubamba, Cusco and Ollantaytambo in the region of Cusco - Peru in 2017.
We have travel at 3:00 AM to these communities, because they are very far away and very cold and that time of the day. I am happy that we have served the various communities in the Andean region of the Andes with food and solar panels, computers for schools and educational materials. Weavers, farmers, and thousands of families have benefited in the different communities throughout the 18 years that we have been involved in Peru.
These clothes were made with love and great energy by the women that are incredible too, as they worked hard to provide us with the clothes we needed for the children on time.
It was a challenge to deliver all this items and thanks to All Path of the heart Members In Peru. With these Clothes, the children will be warmer and make through the year and more and have opportunities in their future, as they are going to study warm in their classes, know they can do homework and interact with their families in the evenings and mornings.
I traveled to the communities and saw how dangerous it is to travel to these communities because of the treacherous roads. There are 1000 Valleys in Peru and in each of them there are other 1000 smaller ones with thousands of Communities. This is a good way we improve its effectiveness in the communities and its members.
We extend our sincere thanks to members of the Foundation. We are truly grateful for your support and your grant which has made a real difference in these children and thousands of lives in Peru and its communities.
With love and Gratitude always,
Washi
