I am pleased to report the successful completion of our Clean Water Project in the community of Challhuaccocha - CHUPANI benefiting 12 native families. Despite extreme geographical and climatic challenges, we have successfully provided these families with access to their most vital need: clean water.

The project was executed under high-difficulty conditions that highlight the resilience of our team and the community:

Geography & Climate: Located at over 14,500 feet, the area is characterized by freezing temperatures and heavy rainfall.

Isolation: Families live in traditional stone and straw-roof homes, approximately 2 to 3 kilometers apart. They remain largely forgotten, with no access to roads, electricity, or basic services.

Logistics: Due to the lack of infrastructure, equipment was transported using trucks and horses, followed by many hours of hiking alongside the families to reach each home.

Social Impact: Most households include 5 to 8 children who currently hike up to 6 hours to attend the nearest school.

The joy and gratitude of these families upon receiving clean drinking water reaffirms our mission. We would like to express special thanks to Brother Valentín and his community team. As a beneficiary of a previous project, Brother Valentín accompanied us to ensure that these families in remote areas finally received the support they deserve, bringing love and a life-changing opportunity to them all.

FUN FACT: During this install, we found a solar D-light provided by our organization nearly 10 years ago still in perfect working order. This confirms the high quality and long-term impact of the equipment we provide to these communities.

With Love, Energy, and Time,

Washington Gibaja Tapia
